Build Your Smile Dental Foundation programming around the globe
The Build Your Smile Dental Foundation has been servicing international communities since its earliest days. Our longest standing international partner is KIHEFO in rural Uganda. Our years-long partnership with KIHEFO has seen us pioneer new methods of dental services. We have consulted and treated thousands of smiles over the years.
Our partnership with KIHEFO has also evolved into partnerships with Ugandan educational institutions. With them we organize an educational symposium annually whereby we provide seminars in dental technology and practice management to Ugandan students and dental professionals.

The Build Your Smile Dental Foundation is pleased to announce the partnership with the Mexico Project. Established in 1987, The Mexico Project was a partnership between UNC School of Dentistry and Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos - a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Latin America.
Dr. Carolina Vera took over the program in 2011 and shaped it into what it is today. It now encompasses education, research, scientific and professional knowledge, and cultural exchange through international collaboration. The program was expanded through RED GLOBAL MX and partnership with the Mexican government. Dr. Vera has been able to garner broad support from the Mexican Ministry of Health and local government leaders throughout rural Mexico.
We are excited and honoured to be a proud partner of the Mexico Project and to being conducting outreach trips to rural Mexican communities.
